And will it be safe? My dad says its not "safe" to download it right now cause its in beta or whatever.

Yep, microsoft released a beta to the public that breaks computers. No. Also, it is released on the 22nd.

Clarifying:

On October 22nd, 2009, at 12:00 AM, Windows 7 will be releaseed to the general public as a finished build.

Lol. Good and Vista shouldn't be used in the same sentence except for on opposite day.

Also, talk to your dad. Tell him that Windows7 is 100% done and will be way more secure and safe than any other Windows OS's.

It has a few annoying things, but it isn't absolutely terrible.
