Author Topic: Yes Ace still needs help Forwarding  (Read 1019 times)

Okay the story is I got a new computer and router(same model new version) but they gave me a 10.10.10.1 gateway and I can't find a working static Ip

also does having a 64-bit XP professional  effect my ability to forward ports?

You don't need a static IP, all modern routers come with LAN IP reservation so the router DHCP service will always assign your mac address a single IP.

So how would I set it up? just tell the router to send Info to that IP? or do I have to tell it to reserve that IP

No edit

by the way server still dead, Should I restart my pc?

and is there any more information You need?

What kind of router do you have? (brand name, i.e. Netgear, LinkSys, Belkin, etc.)

Also, you could just ask your parents, if they're the ones who set up all that stuff.
