It's an interesting video full of interesting facts, mainly consisting of population and technology.

Remembering some off the top of my head;

- More than 230,000 MySpace accounts are created daily
- If MySpace were a country, it would be the eighth largest in the world
- More than 200,000,000,000 Google searches were conducted this month
- There are more text messages sent today than the population of the world
- There are more than 150 million phone calls taking place right now in this second; it triples every six months
- Around 45 years from now, computers are expected to outsmart the entire human race

I found these very interesting.

And they're outdated. It was made in 2007.

Discuss.

That's MYSPACE!

not yours.  >:C

They made a new one.  4.0

I know that, I just got this one in an email.

I love nifty facts.

Please explain to me how a creation of ours, which has no thought, just what it was programmed, can outsmart us?

"And while predictions further out than 15 years are hard to do...

A $1,000 computer... will exceed the computing capabilities... of the human race."

Yeah they showed these to us in high-school, this one is actually a bit out of date, This one is actually the more recent one, and this is the one they showed at my school. Really interesting.

We'll never have to worry about the Matrix if we put you in charge of programming. *cringes at horrible spelling*

Secondly, it was stated by Isaac Asimov, himself, that a computer will never be smarter than a human as computers are only as smart as the humans that program it. It may be able to process and solve problems a hell of a lot faster, but they will never be smarter. There is a big difference.

Sounds reasonable. Maybe they were referring to that, I'm not sure. Maybe they were saying we will all eventually have access to a supercomputer.

REALLY? Thanks.

Technically, once we figure out how to tap into the human brain, that will put all supercomputers present and future to shame. No more need for input, just think it and it happens. Things like television, cell phones, the internet will all cease to exist in the way we know it now. It will all be managed by a chip implant within our brains. We will eventually be integrated into a collective consciousness and how we deal with that as a society will determine if we end up like the Borg or something more harmonious with individualism.

These sort of videos don't really blow me away at all, infact I just do a quite bit of math in my head about these types of things every week or so because I have nothing better to do.

Even though they say we are training and teaching people for technology that hasn't even been invented yet, people are still morons.

40% of my country are morons. ;_;
