just a topic to see who is using it and if anyone needs help with it post here
i just started using it today :D

Ubuntu is actually a Linux distribution, so it is Linux. It is its own operating system, so it will replace Windows if you decide to install it (unless you want to dual-boot).

However...

It allows you to install Ubuntu within Windows and then choose whether to boot Ubuntu or Windows when you turn on the computer. Really neat, actually.

The current disk image includes that, I use it.

i can't see up from down at 11:00pm :(

Guys, Wubi is in the current disk image, you just put the disk in while using windows, then click "install inside of windows"

So.. I still need to burn a disk?

with that link up there for wubi i didn't need a disk :)
but i did need like 4gb download

the only proplem is i can't seem to understand how java installs :(
if someone can explain it in deph that would be great :)

I only use Ubuntu when Windows is forgeted up and I want to get access to internet quickly, otherwise, no.
