Silly Christianity!

1)  If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife. (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)
The Chinese have a similar rule or law. If a spouse is caught cheating, the offended mate may kill them if only using their bare hands. Last time I checked, Chinese weren't Christian. Secondly, aethists kill spouses all the time for cheating with someone else. Not just Christian related again.

2)  And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen.  "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."  (Matthew 21:21-22 NAS)
Everything I've prayed for this last year has come true to me.

3) When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished.  If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property.  (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)
In the mid 18th century it was legal to beat your spouse with a rod no bigger than your thumb. That was pretty universal, not just limited to Christianity.

4) From there Elisha went up to Bethel.  While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him.  "Go up baldhead," they shouted, "go up baldhead!"  The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord.  Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces.  (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB)
So a guy shouts a curse and two hungry bears come and slaughter a bunch of kids. Sounds like just a coincidence to me. But even so, that was the work of a prophet with a couple of well trained bears, not God.

5)  And at midnight the LORD killed all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn son of the captive in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed.  Pharaoh and his officials and all the people of Egypt woke up during the night, and loud wailing was heard throughout the land of Egypt. There was not a single house where someone had not died.  (Exodus 12:29-30 NLT)
You seem to forget exactly why this came about. Way to skip the important part and make it seem like a massacre of innocents. They had plenty of warning, 9 of them before that and they still didn't free the slaves they were commanded to release.

I really hate it, when some Atheists think they're higher and mightier then everyone else, just because they don't believe in God. Belief in God actually saves people. God may not come down and shoot a lightening bolt to save them. But he saves them in this aspect:

It has been proved, that praying improves ones condition. Why? Simply put. Even if there is no God (hypothetically), if someone believes in him, whether he exists or not, and prays to this higher power. They get a placebo effect. In which they believe so much, that their prayer is going to God, and god is healing them, they actually start to get better. Plus God may have not been proved, but he has also not been disproved.

Now, going around and telling people God isn't real, and that you shouldn't believe him is just wrong. Hey, you have every right in the world not to believe in god. But, my point is. You're trying to tell people to believe in what you believe in, and that's just wrong. It makes you look like an ass. Not everyone in the world is going to be just like you. Also, if you want everyone to be like you, go see a therapist, because you seriously have issues.

My point here is, stop advertising your religion to the world, stop acting high and mightier then everyone else, and stop making an ass of yourself

Personally, if I was god and wanted my creations to believe that I exist, I would have written "Hey guys, I exist.  -God" on the moon or something. As of right now, according to Christianity, I'm going to hell because I believed in something based on fact and I wanted to find answers instead of just taking the easy road and becoming Christian.
Right, you would think that an all knowing being who has existed for all eternity would take the time to think about how he should create his first life forms.
In a way, us humans that God created where just like someone releasing their first add-on, except God had a lot more time, like, forever.
So God has no excuse for any of his mistakes.

Truthfully, I don't know what to believe. I know that not all of the religious parts are true. I realize that are planet has been around for billions of years, and that creatures evolved into what we, and other species are today. But I don't understand how things were created, and how carbon-based life-forms became to be. I don't understand how time and this infinite space are possible. I don't understand what happens after death, but I would imagine your brain no longer functions, and you're dead. Pure nothingness for the rest of eternity, but you don't know that, because you're dead. When you're dead, nothing else really matters. I feel reincarnation is impossible, yet it still feels like I was something else before my human life. I don't understand how tiny atoms are controlled at all to make us work or function. Maybe it's controlled? maybe it just happens.?

I believe that evolution is true... but maybe other things are too, and their story is wrong?

I agree. Unless he's not as powerful as Christians think.

I agree. But both Christians and Atheists try to force their belief on others. We are the same kind of people, but we think differently.
I agree.

Throughout human history we have tried to explain things. We hunger for answers, and in our quest for knowledge we try to fill in te blanks sometimes. Back when the Greeks were around, no one knew why lightning struck or why the sea could be calm or violent. Without any way to understand these powerful, natural events they tried to explain it using themselves. People started telling stories of powerful beings that looked like humans but had divine powers. Soon they felt like they understood everything and it became common knowledge that Zeus created lighting or Poseidon controlled the ocean. They had used the one thing they undestood the most (humans) to understand everything else. Today, we know this isn't true because we have used science to understand how it really works. Religions like Christianity try to explain what happens after we die and how we were created but it's stupid to turn to our ancestors for questions that require modern science. Even though  humankind can now figure out the answer to almost any question, we still hold on to our old religions. We live in an age of understanding and communication where we don't need to guess. Our instinct trys to lead us down a path of lies and misconception and we follow it like confused children. People want to think that life is about making the best choice when it's really about making the best out of what you didn't choose. Before there were even mammals on the earth, the first oranisms were learning and adapting. Instincts like fearing death or trying to find food became hard-wired into us and slowly we evolved into what we are now. It's scary to think of how lonely and short our lives are, but in the end we just have to try our best because being human is about learning and living and we don't have to answer every question right now. After all, the greatest life is one that ends.

(Sorry for any mistakes, I typed all of this on my DSi :D)
What the forget is your problem. friend.
Everyone believes in what they want to believe.
They would rather die than change.
You are another dumb forgettards who forces people to believe in nothing.
If your in a tight spot, you need something to rely on.
If you have nothing, your a lazy forget.
Will you forget the hell off. You discrace the world of beliefs and Imagination.

Ah the budding of a young mind bristling with so many questions about existence. Fills my heart with joy. This is the time of your life that you really find out what kind of person you are and what kind of person you'll try to be for the rest of your life. Keep searching for your answers as they're different for everyone. Don't let anyone guide you unless you feel it's true in your heart and mind.

Trust me, if God wanted to show us he exists, he'd do something a bit more direct than an autograph on the moon. Those can be blamed on NASA all too easily.

Okay, I understand that now.

Okay, I see your point there.

4) So a guy shouts a curse and two hungry bears come and slaughter a bunch of kids. Sounds like just a coincidence to me. But even so, that was the work of a prophet with a couple of well trained bears, not God.
It's still the cold blooded murder of two innocent little kids, some prophet, I'm sure that will really convince people to join a religion!

5)  You seem to forget exactly why this came about. Way to skip the important part and make it seem like a massacre of innocents. They had plenty of warning, 9 of them before that and they still didn't free the slaves they were commanded to release.
You think the villagers had any say in whether the slaves got released or not? Either way it is still mass genocide.

Fixed as atheism is not a religion, but just a set of beliefs opposing the existence of god.

Right, you would think that an all knowing being who has existed for all eternity would take the time to think about how he should create his first life forms.
In a way, us humans that God created where just like someone releasing their first add-on, except God had a lot more time, like, forever.

I have no idea what you were trying to explain, especially the second part.

In the Adam and Eve story, god didn't punish them because they wanted knowledge, he is developing them. For an all-knowing being, he must have known that if he had placed the tree of knowledge and created figures of himself around each other, the figures will want to learn and eat the fruit from the tree.
In a sense, Adam and Eve are his children, and he knew that one day they're going to grow up and be ready to face the world outside the garden, so he just waited for that time to come. Kind of like whenever kids are ready to get out of their playpen/safety zone, to see the world that exists beyond what they know then. It's a story of growing up.

Anyway, God wants us to be independent. Explains the no signs that he exists.

Though that's just christian side of a story that I can understand just don't really believe in.

What the forget is your problem. friend.
It's not nice to call people homoloveuals because they don't think what you think buddy. And why is calling him a homoloveual even necessary?
Everyone believes in what they want to believe.
They would rather die than change.
Actually I changed and I didn't feel the need to die.
You are another dumb forgettards who forces people to believe in nothing.
He is a dumb forgettards? Wat
If your in a tight spot, you need something to rely on.
Not really. I had a quiz question I was stuck on and I didn't need to rely on anything but myself
If you have nothing, your a lazy forget.
Wat
Will you forget the hell off. You discrace the world of beliefs and Imagination.
Yes because having an opinion makes you, as you spell it, a "discrace"

2) No, I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying everything I have prayed for has come true for me. But I had the brevity to finally trust in myself thanks to the help of a Pastor to take care of myself and get past my problems. The Pastor believed in God, he believes God wants me to succeed. So he just simply said to pray, and go about your life as usual. It was amazing how my life changed for the better thanks to the help of a single man with a message from God. I've been a believer ever since.

Granted, it doesn't work for everyone. Some people don't have the faith or they don't wish to believe. That's their wish. I'm not here to Judge any further. I'm already repenting for that.

4) You forgot about that crazy guy in Austria who killed and raped a lot of his kids he had with a daughter of his, keeping them locked up in his basement for all of their lives, ect. I hardly doubt he was religious at all. If you look hard enough, you'll fine plenty of bad examples on both sides.

5) And the Egyptians had a controlled genocide by enslaving the entire populace of people and forcing them to work themselves to literal death just to make a stone obelisk to honor a ruler they themselves had no choice to worship as no less than a god? The story was quite clear if you do a little research behind it. The Pharaoh got what he gave because he also ordered a mass execution of babies just before his adoptive son Moses came into his life. He's no better and he wasn't Christian.
