Lord English's flashing colors aren't because of trickster mode, it's just his Cairo Overcoat. I guess his eyes constantly flash between pool balls, but I chalk that up to his god tier transformation or maybe just The Felt stuff.

His text is rainbow, his gun is rainbow, his mouth lasers are rainbow, his cracks in reality are rainbow, his leg is rainbow, if you count the pool balls, his loving name is rainbow. The guy's colors are rainbow, gold, and green. Caliborn is obsessed with the trickster lollipop. He's probably gonna get his hands on it at some point. Not certain when he will, but I suspect it will happen.

Anyway, yeah, it's not technically full rainbow. The main thing I'm going on is the boost in power. It's the only thing we've seen besides god tier. I doubt he's specifically obsessed with her side. I wouldn't say he obsesses over her at all. Caliborn never would have had a shot at Calliope's anyway since she already gave hers away. What he IS obsessed with is power, himself, and being the best. Reality warping trickster powers seem right up his alley.

Trickster mode doesn't even make sense though, as he's not jubilant or anything and I'm pretty sure Trickster mode is a temporary effect.

Why would anyone be pissed about Trickster Mode, it's going by fast, it's funny, and will most likely work it's way into an actually major point in the plot. I still this LE could be trickster mode, because I really don't know if I can see him honking without being more confident and enthusiastic about things he usually wouldn't, a big side effect of Trickster mode. It's even making Roxy become an alcoholic again, after she had to break her addiction and stuff, who says it won't make Caliborn want to listen to Gamzee or something? He seemed like he wanted the lollipop and it's trickster powers, so I'm guessing that's how he got the powers. It has pretty much been proven he can do anything he wants.

I know it's not 'the secret to ultimate power' but it could certainly make him powerful. Unless it was some weird hallucination or something Jane picked off a Horrorterror like nothing. I mean yeah half of that probably was some weird alternate reality portal but it seemed to give enhanced power. I wouldn't put it past him to want any and all advantages.
