the plot is that John Egbert and his four friends Rose LaLonde, Dave Strider, and Jade Harley are playing this game called Sburb which forgets stuff up but it has to be played to save their world. the trolls regrettably assist them in helping them through the game so the kids can beat Jack Noir, an omnipotent being that can possibly be Lord English (presumably final boss). each new chapter is called and "Act" as there are now 5 Acts (current Act is Act 5 Part 2), and there will most likely be more. the trolls had their part in Act 5 Part 1, so now its back to the kids.

I keep asking AH on formspring what he has to say about the fact that everything occuring is not happening.

As this current series of events relies on John being alive, and John being alive relies on Dave coming from the future, this cant happen, as the reason Dave comes from the future is because John dies.

This entire everything can't happen the way it has, and thus it is a moot point.

I bring this up and he ignores this every time.

I think ok maybe he is just not wanting to answer every question. I then post this on the forums and within minutes the topic is locked.

The entirety of Homestuck occurs within Dave's imagination.
That would explain a lot - Dave is a loving badass but he has this big inferiority complex over John thus John reaches the god tiers. Vriska loves Nicholas Cage as a representation of Dave loving her but thinking he wouldn't have a chance because of the differing viewpoints (her loving Cage in a completely non-ironic fashion). It all makes sense now
