Now I understand the bottle thing after re-reading Homestuck, it's just like the apple John made with his totem.

John's apple was blue. Rose's bottle was purple. Both teleported their houses out of the path of the meteors when something was done to the object, i.e. John bit the apple and Rose broke the bottle.

How do you view the new ones? I went to the Homestuck soundtrack and it was still Strider Beatdown Style up to Pony Chorale.

I love how the Midnight Crew is basically a mix of Problem Sleuth and a few Homestuck jokes, the "item is a weapon when you call it the item but the weapon is an item when you call it a weapon" thing (like Spade's deck being a war chest) is one of my favorite running jokes
