whats the best add on creator you can get?
if you know please post me it i have a windows vista and it crashes my pc when i try to download blender

To create add-ons, you can script using notepad or a modeling program to make models (for like weapons, vehicles, etc.).

Autodesk 3DS Max is probably the best for making models. However it costs a buttload.
Milkshape is also good and I personally recommend it, costs $30 I believe.
Blender is free, however I have never used it before so I don't know how good/easy-to-use it is.

Google sketchup - not so good, can get job done

Google Sketchup requires either Blender, or Milkshape, you're boned either way.
Blender is quite easy to model with, but not so easy to export into Torque Shapes (DTS).
Milkshape is VERY easy to model with, add armatures (mountPoints, MuzzlePoints, etc.) and export with.

I'd recommend Blender if you're more advanced with that kind of thing.
Milkshape if you're new to computer modeling.

Those aren't add-on creators you idiot, they're modeling programs.

Notepad.

stuff.
Notepad++ for scripting. It's probably the best free scripting program you can get.
