Regulith's Old Manor

Well, as you know, I've been taking a break from my larger builds, so I've been doing a little community Zombie City project, with old abandoned places and such. This right here is one of my contributions, and is in fact the first thing I've actually finished in a long while. I used parts of the window and roof design from Dusty12's build, which was right down the street. So, without further ado, I humbly welcome you to The Old Manor...

Welcome, won't you step closer?

Yes, that's it, don't be afraid, come on in...

There we are, have a look around the first floor, if you wish...

Come on up to the second floor, there's more to see, my friend.

Oh dear, is your flashlight dead? How...unfortunate.

Hehehehe...Looks like your flashlight is back on...maybe you can use it to signal for help...if you're still alive when the next person drops by...

Hope you had a fine time...come again soon, my friend.

Rate out of 10, if you wish. Constructive criticism welcome.

Too much symmetry.

Edit for I'm mean: Needs more interior walls. Needs less looks-like-a-1st-grader-drew-hair-on-a-house roof. Why is front gate thing white? Your lamps look like ducks. Why is there a hole in the attic with no window.

Edit for more meanness: Why are their only windows in the front. Why is the house a rectangle. Why is the exterior smooth rather than bumpyish.

It's decent. I had to turn the lamp off to see some of the pictures which is kind of a good thing...

I don't like the black room, though. The outside also looks really modern to be old.

I agree, but I'm not an expert house-builder yet, so I don't think these things through before-hand. This is actually the first time I've attempted a house since my young box-house days.

It's a little cramped to do that.
Yes, the roof isn't fantastic.
I don't know.
Lol.
For the zombie DM this is a part of. So people can get there via a secret passage I didn't show (on purpose) and be snipers.

I don't know. I'll consider adding more, but mostly since this house is on the outskirts of the city, I don't want people being able to stare off into oblivion.
No idea.

You mean the room in the center? That's more for spookiness than anything else. I didn't really think the outside was that modern, but I don't really study houses or anything (yet I'm going to be an architectural designer, lolfail) so I can't be sure.

Whatever room that was. :P

Oh, the bedroom.

What's wrong with it? Other than that it's small.

Yay :3
I like it. But the interior does need some variety.

I don't mind the size...

Nevermind. I see it's supposed to be spooky, so it's understandable.

The longer I look at the roof, the uglier it looks. :/

I'll fix that tomorrow.

Looks like hair, lol.

I hardly build anymore, and it sucks to try and get back into the groove and realize you're not as good as you used to be.

Good use of arches.

And a really good roof to. Most roofs end up looking like all the other roofs, yours is unique :D

i kinda like it. its very... unique in my opinion.
