what?

what?
If you do not Understand what He just said, Don't Port until your Wiser.

people say that maturity helps, but im 11 and i did it perfectly fine.

that tutorial showed ONLY the code for linksys, which turns out to be much different than most sites. my adress for setting this thing up is 192.168.0.1 instead of 192.168.1.1 so thats a big difference than what he recommended. if this is your code, heres what you do.

the first thing sayed is 4 links, click one that sayes status (that part i accually got the idea) i picked up the DNS code and pressed reconfigure, then advanced. there i saw tons of options on the left, i clicked port forwarding. if you dont have a text bar that shows the link code replace the link code with "blockland" because basically theyre the exact same thing. since there was no apply button i had to go next> next> next> so on till i got through to whole reconfiguring prosess, then my DSL line restarted itself. everything else was perfectly fine.

anyhow, that guy did say "if yours does not look like mine just click a bunch of links until you find something that looks like the next step." just do whatever he says!

-snip-

That was a very bad idea posting your IP address for the entire forum to see. You might want to edit that post.

Pick up the box that gives you internet and turn it around until you see a brand name and a model number.

If you cannot even do this, I suggest you ask your parents.

If they tell you anything about port forwarding being dangerous, tell them they're wrong and to get their facts straight.

1) IP doesn't loving matter.
2) That's his Router's >>>LOCAL<<< IP. There's nothing we can do with that at all.
3) You can't even edit in Help.

They're wrong because maturity doesn't define knowledge.
You're wrong (Only that part) because age doesn't define maturity.

Well excuse me. I do believe you could have said that a little more nicely for someone not as experienced with computers as you. My bad for posting, I'll try not to be so stupid next time.

Maturity to me is defined by the ability to handle things in a way that an adult would rather to a child who neither cares about his actions or consequences  o,o make a bit of sense? Being smart wont help at all
