Author Topic: does port forwarding really do anything?  (Read 1188 times)

your right, i didnt completely do the port forwarding tuto. the fact is that i got to portforward.com and did theyre tutorial for the website part. but for the original blockland tutorial the part in control panel; well, it needs an admin password and my dads the admin. but hes napping on the couch right now, and he killed my bro when he woke him up *sarcasm* anyway if i do wake him up he'll think im trying to mess up the internet or something.

shoot. i knew it, i did not port forward successfully. (lol i actually didn't need a friend to check i just opened blockland two times. funny huh?) so i guess ill have to wait for my dad to wake up.

i started this topic on a computer that did port forward all the way, so i still need more explaining on why port forwarding isnt doing anything for me.

There is no explanation other than

A. You did it wrong or
B. You forgot to do something.

thats what i just said regulith, that i forgot something, no offense.

well atleast my dad woke up and helped me. hooray! i port forwarded. thanks everybody who helped (lets hope it actually works... lol)

Been an hour or more. Is it working?

This is probably a fail bump, But...
Admin pass may be "" without the "'s.
And user name ""
Course, unless your father has changed it. Is he computer illiterate? If so, it probably hasn't but thats just my common logic. . .

by now I've tried everything. port forwarding is not helping me a tiny bit. wth is wrong? i mean, the computer IS working with the internet, everything is working exept for blockland. it sucks.

if anyone knows common problems on Windows vista home premium and my DSL is embarq, 2wire400.
