Welcome to SquareBrush Adventures. In this thread, I will be making one of those MS Paint Adventures type of things, where I draw a scene and take suggestions on what to do next.
What is SquareBrush Adventures?SquareBrush Adventures (or SBA for short) is a webcomic/choose your own adventure hybrid. If you've ever read MS Paint Adventures, it's kind of like that.
Why is it called "SquareBrush Adventures"?Because I use a square brush to draw it. Derp.
How do I play SBA?This game will start with a single picture. You can make suggestions on what the character will do next. Often I will ask a question, such as the first one, "What will the name of this fine fellow be?" It is your job to answer these questions. The usual question will be "What will you do?". Please note I will not necessarily choose the first suggestion! After a random amount of time, I will look through all of the posts relating to that current scene, choose one, and will illustrate the next scene.
When do you update SBA?I have no update schedule. If I have some time on my hands and I have some strength left from the day, I'll sift through the responses I've gotten and will do a new scene. Please realize that although I may have enough time to browse the forums does not mean I feel like advancing the SBA story. School can be stressful, and with the addition of Robotics Team in the Winter, I can feel pretty exhausted.
What do you use to make SBA?I use GIMP and a custom square brush. If I need to animate, I will likely use the
MySpace Animated GIF Generator. I draw with a Bamboo graphics tablet.
