how do i get a sound file to work?
when i try to open file the comp doesnt know what to open with.

Your sound files are not "not working". You simply don't have a program to open them with.

Try flexing your detective skills.

Or, in the case of .wav files, which you SHOULD be able to open with the default music player (unless Macs can't since it might be some sort of Windows file), try flexing your detective skills in this direction.

would it work if i just rename it to .ogg or .wav?

every file name has the type of file at the end like .wav or .ogg ect.
what if i rename the end of the music file to .ogg

I know, I'm asking what the file extension is now, if you downloaded a sound file from here for Blockland, it should already be .wav for sounds or .ogg for music. If you're trying to make a .ogg file, you have to convert it using some other program.

Problem solved. You can now listen to ogg files.
By the way, don't change the file extension. It won't help
File extensions are a lie, sometimes.
