Author Topic: Green's Tutorial: How to make music on Blockland  (Read 6010 times)

OK this is my way of making music.

Step 1: Find a song.

Now this is the most easiest thing since it's the first. You can do it in these ways:

1. Find an Audio CD and insert the CD into your disk drive. If AutoPlay is on, it should pop up. Click "Rip music using Windows Media Player". Then rip the track and it should go into your music folder. Not the one in Blockland, the one where you find Sample Music.

2. Go on the internet and download a song. It has to be any type of file so that when you play it in WMP (Windows Media Player), it will show patterns whizzing around and all that. It can't be a music video.

Step 2: Converting.

Now this is a little trickier, since most converters you will have to pay for. Download and install a converter that converts MP3, WMA etc. files to OGG.

Once you converted your file to OGG, you have a choice. If you have a full song, you cannot release it on the forum since it is not allowed. It is allowed, just don't post it on the forums. This includes RTB forums.
If you trimmed your song, then you  may release it, but remember, there is still a limit on the length.

Well, that was easy. That was only like 2 steps. Great, your pretty much done.

does VCL media player work?  :cookieMonster:

Green your trying to copy me! Oh no! Tyler66 is gonna blow RUN!! YOU DUMBASS!!! O_O I go over the top! but im so pissed right now? But is there a reason Idk XD

Yeah GreenBH. You don't deserve any credit. Whats the point? There is already a tutorial way better than this. The one Tyler66 made. The one you copied off of.

They need to be mono .ogg files.
Hurr.

And you've copied many others.
God, your stupidity blows my mind.

Look you ass! You think I copyed a topic that had it? No. I learned this myself. Go search and find some bitch.

:P he is teaching how to make full songs!  :cookieMonster:

I wouldn't.

There are MUCH easier ways with Audacity.
People brag about audacity? Yea it MIGHT be great but I dont brag about it. I mean I have Ogg Converter and I like it but I dont brag about it! Please! Comon people!

Yeah, but that's because it's more than a converter.
Your argument is invalid.

I'm not. I'm saying that you don't have to download a YouTube video to do it. And if you are going to make a full song, don't post it.

Sticky at the top of this forum.

Also, I dont use these OGG converters as they generally don't convert to mono files, which means they will not work properly in Blockland. I am not a fan of music in Blockland in general, and only really like the "well looped" ones, which is virtually impossible to achieve with a converter, as there is minimal or no way to tweak them. I recomend audacity or things like Cakewalk (SONAR) if you want to go posh (very nice studio quality recording software)

Also - Tyler's tutorial is better, and it is very obvious (as long as you have a small amount of common sense) that you dont have to use a youtube video and you just change the source file to whatever you want.

Problems with yours - I am using a mac, what is Windows Media Player  :cookieMonster:
You have not said a good converter, and many people don't know how to use my good ol' friend Google.
