I, for one, think gays deserve every right we do. Their genetics aren't their fault.

Well, technically both.

First, I couldn't resist the joke of saying something "anti-gay *gasp*" while talking about the topic of gays being signed into a hate-crime bill.

Second, while I agree that all Americans should be protected from violence, I think the bill is bad in that it also targets clergy, who are against homoloveuality for religious reasons, and normally would have a right to speak out against homoloveuality from the pulpit.  This is a huge step in destroying free speech.

Exactly why homoloveuals deserve every right, otherwise it's against the first amendment "Freedom of religion".
