Free antiVirus programs/ Steam help

 I need a free anti Virus program that can remove them, I think I have 9 last time a random computer scan popped up.

 Steam doesn't start up. Usually when the computer turns on Steam comes up too, but now its not doing stuff, I click on the shortcut and for a second it starts loading and quickly stops. When I turn off the computer a window comes up saying Steam is preventing me from shuting down the computer, would you like to shut it down?

My dad uses something valled Stopzilla.  I had no clue what the forget that was.  It caught 92 viruses yesterday :o

I have Norton but dad stopped paying and forgot, I tell mom to tell dad but she keeps saying "Oh its ok, dad knows what he is doing." I have viruses in my computer woman!

SUPERAntiSpyware is by far the best free one out there if you have serious problems with viruses. We almost formatted our virus-filled family computer, but instead, I fixed it with that.

Is steam in your processes list in your task manager?

Also avast! is the best in my opinion.
