Awhile ago, I thought of a really cool idea.
A collection of critically unique player types.

It seems like that the majority of player types are all based off of standard player, And have basic traits.
This is a topic open for discussion on new innovative player types.

Here is some of my many ideas.

NS:Alien
A Alien player type based off of Natural Selection.
It can crawl along walls and ceilings, and has upgradable attacks ranging from melee, to spit.

Backpacker
A standard player type that can only carry two weapons at any given time.
One slung on his back, and one in his hands.
This forces players to be wise on what weapons they pick up. And makes any TDM/DM less quake like.

Draining Player
A standard player type that slowly degenerates it's health.
This forces players to scavenge for health packs or healing sources.

The "draining player" type has no advantage to it what so ever. Why would you even make that player type?

Yeah, and that No-Jet playertype that Badspot came up with can't even fly! Why would anyone want to use that horrible thing!

That is taking what I said completely out of context.
I guess I can understand forcing a player to search for health packs for an RP it just sounds far fetched.

By far the best sounding one, and the most useful in my opinion.

And an even better idea considering you've been making some DM maps.

If everone is the same player type...
Then there is no advantage.

I plan on making the Backpacker and the Draining Player for sure.

Okay this is sounding interesting.
NS:Alien
A Alien player type based off of Natural Selection.
It can crawl along walls and ceilings, and has upgradable attacks ranging from melee, to spit.
Alright the crawling part sounds like a hackish job to do, and even then, they'd be sliding on the wall on their side.

Backpacker
A standard player type that can only carry two weapons at any given time.
One slung on his back, and one in his hands.
This forces players to be wise on what weapons they pick up. And makes any TDM/DM less quake like.
Would require some extra scripting, but could be done. Though a better name than backpacker would be nice.

Draining Player
A standard player type that slowly degenerates it's health.
This forces players to scavenge for health packs or healing sources.
I'd rather just go kill 3 people, then lose that 1 point for not finding health, than kill 1 person than look around for 10 minutes just to get killed looking for a health pack.
