Author Topic: My computer is really starting to get some problems.  (Read 1063 times)

Well, if you haven't guessed by the title yet, my computer has a couple of problems, and when there's a problem I usually come here and ask for help.

So for starters, my internet freezes whenever I search for something. Not all the time, but most of the time. It just locks up. I use Firefox, so don't tell me to switch to it or any of that bullstuff. Another problem is that every time I turn on my computer, there's a 50 percent chance of my screen resolution resetting itself to the lowest, most magnified setting possible. And last is Steam, it freezes whenever I try to play a game and I have to reset it and attempt to start the game again to play it.

I demand answers, please.

Try anti-spyware programs.

And most perfect solution would be reinstalling Windows.

I'd burn it if I were you. It might try to bite and infect you, best stop it before it gets the chance.

Make sure you have a disk for your drivers or you know what drivers you need! This is very important! Do NOT forget.

And some PCs need network drivers also to be able to use Internet.
Had this thing with old PC, good thing I had Linux CDs somewhere, as Linux let me access Internet fine.

I don't have any windows vista disks, the computer came like this. No system restore, or windows vista. It was bought as a display model, and it's been working perfectly fine for about a year.

I didn't get any disk either, but when I ran the PC for first time, Vista asked me for some DVDs and burned the OS on those DVDs. :o

You could either take it to some computer repair shop to have it fixed up, or you could try doing it yourself with anti-virus/spyware/adware/etc.
