LinkSys, I think.

Damn, I was afraid of that. I've never used a backdoor entrance with a LinkSys before and I really don't feel like learning how to do it all over again.

Basically it's like... Well, imagine if a robber broke into your house. Would they go for the front door? Absolutely not. The back door? Of course. An example of a backdoor entrance is the following:

1. On the welcome screen of your computer (the screen where you select which account to log on to on the computer in XP/Vista), press Ctrl+Alt+Delete. If nothing happens, try it again. A different screen should come up.
2. On this different screen, if the password hasn't been changed, enter:
   --Username: admin
--Password: password [OR] admin [if one doesn't work, try the other]
3. If the password has not been changed, you should now be logged in to the administrator account on the computer. You can edit settings for/delete/add accounts here. If you're smart though, you should change the admin password to something else, if it hasn't been changed already.

I'm the admin on my computer.

I know, I was just using that as an example. Even if you are admin, it still works.

What does that have to do with port forwarding?

If I knew how to do it with a LinkSys router, I'd tell you how to use a backdoor entrance to access the router's settings and forward your pots.

Oh. Think I could Google it?

You could Google it, but the process involved in doing such a thing is incredibly complicated and highly dangerous. I strongly discourage doing it unless you know every little step of what you're doing inside and out.

What could happen?

Let's just say you could potentially destroy your Internet connection. Permanently. Well, at least until you get a new router.

Thats totally not depressing at all.
