Author Topic: Port forwarding help.  (Read 467 times)

I have attempted to port forward, and when I open a separate blockland window, it says the server is up and running, but on the computer downstairs it says its dead, plus it no one joins on both computers. could someone please explain to me what I am doing wrong? here are pictures to help:

Did you change your TCP/IP settings?

Have you made sure that your Internal IP Address is 192.168.1.9?
Have you made sure that no firewall was blocking Blockland's ports?

This might be the problem, where is it :P

If that's the case, then we'll move onto something else.

Click start, then run (assuming you're on XP).
In there, type:
cmd
Once a black box comes up to bite help you, type this into it:
ipconfig

Look for your ip.

IP address: 74.232.37.56
this?

IP address: 74.232.37.56
this?
better yet, heres a picture:

your router/modem there is forwarding blah.blah.blah.9 sure
but is the server hosting computer on that home network actually the one recognized by the router as .9?

just yesterday my brother plugged in a new xbox to my network, and it somehow changed my computer on the network from .3 to .2
it broke my server on blockland and i had to readjust all my forwards to match my new network IP

That's... rather interesting.
You know the first few pics where it says name1 and name2? Try changing those Internal IPs to that ip you showed me.
