I'm British and I have no idea what "day of the open door" is. Is it like when parents or relatives come in to see your work?
When most people say "English" they mean American. We call the whole "Fish n' Chips" thing "British" instead of "English".
Trust me, we don't have fish and chips every day.Ironically I had fish and chips for supper tonight.
I know you don't have fish and chips every day. I have cousins in England.I'm just saying that you say "Fish n' Chips" while we use the term "Fries" instead of "Chips". This means that your interpretation is altered by British culture, while the statement was made by an American mind. Because we call ourselves "English" and the English "British", you interpreted it your way while we stated it our way, thus confusing you because of the foreign format.
I think you mean fish and chips. That's how I say it anyway. Also I live in Scotland.

You can't just tell people to stop posting. Well you can, but they don't have to do it.

Why? Random posts like mine are the only thing keeping this thread alive.
