Who the forget made up furries anyway?  I mean what kind of a sick person draws furries, I have seen the most disturbing furry prank picture today and I think they are disgusting things that should have never been put on the internet.     

Prank pictures clearly represent the whole fandom.

All you ever hear about furries is about the research, and even then it's sensationalized. Surprisingly enough the majority of furries are actually fairly normal - it's the special interestists and otherkin you always hear about, not the regular furry fandom. And yes this is from a been-there-done-that perspective.

You have the right idea. If you want to be judged as who you are and not as a furry, market yourself and not your... "furrihood" if that makes any sense.
