Allright, Im with TalkTalk for phone and internet services. We were told on Thursday that the internet and phone lines would be shut off for 4 hours on Friday. But, however, the phone lines and internet were shut off until Sunday. It was the wors weekend of my entire loving life. Seriously. Im hoping to move from TalkTalk to something decent. This isnt the first time, oh no. Sometimes the internet is shut off randomly but the phone lines are still active. The bad part was I couldnt harvest my crops in FarmVille, but I got my brother to harvest them, so all's well.

I want some compensation for this loving bullstuff
No, it wasnt just my phone line. Lots of people in my family had theirs cut off too

TalkTalk is one of the worst UK ISPs. Get o2, they're very good.

I was with BT for a while, using their BT Home Hub. The strange thing is that the Home Hub has priority over internet usage in your house - so when it wants to do a firmware upgrade it boots your family off the internet to optimize it's download speeds and won't reconnect you until it updates.

It has now joined the ranks of BT Home Hubs that died by hammer (youtube: see here)

Hopefully this will stop and I might stay with TalkTalk. If not, I'd leave without hesitation. Unfortunately, I have a 3 year contract. Thats gay

We used to have BT complete package, we didn't use the landline yet they still made us pay £100+ a month for it being there.... We got pissed and moved to Virgin :D

Virgin = Best ISP in my opinion, I get 5 MB/s download speeds :3

So instead of actually going outside and doing something constructive, you decided to whine and cry all weekend because you lost some internet crops? Do you realize how pathetic that makes you sound? Go make your own real garden or something, then when you screw that up, you'll have a reason to whine. No sympathy from me.

Secondly, oh well, the internet gets shut off for longer than you expected. Boo hoo. That's life. Get used to disappointments in your life because there will be some that are far worse than not having internet for a weekend.

Ontopic: Good thing you can choose your company. Where I live, you can only get one provider for internet, which creates a monopoly where they can charge you whatever they want for their sluggish internet service. At least our phone company has competition.
