I posted that right after two people beat me.  Take a guess.

mmk.  its pretty simple actually.  thers a little teensy weensy bar about ten pixels wide on the border of the toolbar too the desktop.  if you find it, your cursor will turn into two small opposite arrows.  click with hasty lest you miss, and then you can drag your toolbar wherever.
ive only done this on Microsoft before, not sure how the hell apple does it.
