Author Topic: Dead Server!  (Read 1237 times)

I forward my ports, but My server is still dead, why?

Check your basic internet connection.

Did you accidently put EXACTLY what the guy told you? IF you did you put in hi IP and did it wrong oyur saposed to put in your OWN Ip adress. Now my server works fine

You have to use Query LAN to join your own server, Internet or LAN. I would suggest going onto the IRC and asking someone to see if your server is dead to them or not. If yes, you did something wrong. If no, and/or people are joining, you did it right, good job.

Try putting off your firewall. (While not having explorer running)

Lol, Explorer is always running.
If you closed it you would not be able to see any of your files, your taskbar, browse your stuff, or open your firewall without rebooting your computer.

I mean, Internet explorer, not the process. (Like firefox, chrome.) Or else your computer will die.

My firewall allows my computer to host the server.

Have you ever been able to host before? You're IP might have changed... (what do you do if your IP changes, mine did :o)

I told you to forward to the new lan IP
For instance if your port forward stuffs is forwarded to 192.168.1.6 (Example) and it changes to 192.168.1.9 (Another Example) then you should go back into your port forwarding stuffs and change 192.168.1.6 to 192.168.1.9

Except on my router page, there is no text bar to input an IP... :c

Did you change your TCP/IP settings?
