Author Topic: Bites' Gun Models (Pagestretch)  (Read 2921 times)

New angle again, this time first person. Now with flashlight and hammer!
That's only a lot of epicness!

You going to put this on Turbosquid too? How much have you got already, five dollars?

No, this is going into a mod called city 17: episode one, because the original USP Match was incredibly uneven and impossibly hard to work with. I'm probably going to recreate the SMG and the shotgun as well, but that's really up to 1/4 life.

sorry for double post, but I've improved it quite a bit!

No render this time, removed the camera to prepare for putting into the game. This time we have a viewport screenshot!

Is this going to be for Blockland?

It'd bee way to laggy, it probably has alot of polygons.

Once again, the model has problems.

1.) The top rail is "connected" to the receiver, this looks really odd, the real version of the gun has a plate under the rail.
2.) Side rail (RIS) are embedded into the gun, they should have a plate under them also.
3.) Lower and Upper receiver look connected, the real version has obvious separation between the two parts.
4.) Strange holes near the top of the gun, these should be filled with things and one should have a bolt.
5.) Fire selector looks odd and doesn't have any room to move.
6.) Foregrip looks connected to the bottom of the gun, the real version is fold-able.
7.) No flash hider on gun at all.
8.) Front part of the gun where the barrel extrudes from looks a little too connected to the gun, there's separation in the real version.
9.) No trigger...
10.) A little too much curve on the magwell.

Picture for reference.

Once again, the model has problems.

1.) The top rail is "connected" to the receiver, this looks really odd, the real version of the gun has a plate under the rail. - wat
2.) Side rail (RIS) are embedded into the gun, they should have a plate under them also. - wat
3.) Lower and Upper receiver look connected, the real version has obvious separation between the two parts. - wat
4.) Strange holes near the top of the gun, these should be filled with things and one should have a bolt. - According to 1/4 life, this is completely correct. Also, a newer version of the model fixes one of these problems.
5.) Fire selector looks odd and doesn't have any room to move. - Yeah, I thought it was a bit too small too. Fixed
6.) Foregrip looks connected to the bottom of the gun, the real version is fold-able. - It's actually a separate object, I suppose it looks kind of strange. Will try to fix, hope a texture might do the job as well.
7.) No flash hider on gun at all. - Already finished adding this.
8.) Front part of the gun where the barrel extrudes from looks a little too connected to the gun, there's separation in the real version. They're separate objects, and the part where the barrel connects to the gun won't really be seen once the gun is in the game. However, I'd be more than happy to fix it if geardev sees necessary."
9.) No trigger... - I usually add the trigger when I'm pretty close to finishing the gun.
10.) A little too much curve on the magwell. - wat

the HL2 MP7 has a red dot sight.
and no stock.

Also: It's .45 not .20.
Is that why the image you applied says "9mmx19" directly on the side of the gun?

Since when was the USP bored in .45?
The H&K USP is .45. It always has been.

It has a stock, the MP7 has a slide stock.
