Religion is such a taboo subject? I am free to insult an action that in my opinion is idiotic, but not a belief? Why is religion so protected?

Athiests are required to start religious debates from nowhere?

Yes, I did say I believed in heaven, and I did say a religion war would start, though it was mostly the fact I knew that this always happens, and the fact Inverted challenges every religious opinion he sees. It is partially my fault and I acknowledge that.

I wasn't speaking of the heaven part, but the "inb4inverted" part. It's cool though.

Because it is such an easily offendable topic, is my guess.

because Reg feels things are actually accomplished on the internet or something Inv3rted.

that's what all of us grumpy immature, atheists do

Then tell people to quit being so butthurt and actually think about what they believe. I wasn't always an atheist. All it took was a little thinking.

Just because you can insult something doesn't mean you should. Do you insult anyone at any possibility outside of religious debate? I doubt it. You would have no friends.

Like I said, you may find something idiotic, but nothing can be proven or disproven. At this point, everything is an opinion. Since when can you call someone's opinion wrong?

since people decided to change those opinions into "facts" and only changed them back into opinions when they were losing arguments against them

Insulting a stupid action does not generally start massive debates that swallow up topics and end almost exactly as they started (save for a few angry people) after going on for hours. In real life, I hope you don't go up to some random Buddhist and insult what they believe in. The only reason people seem to do it here is because there's no consequence for them for doing so.

say that to my face forgeter not online and see what happens

and what are you gonna do? ruin the last haven for all of us who want anonymity and the power to be heard in an argument? We don't want to get punched in the face for an argument (which almost happened to me in real life).

stupid stuff like this is why meaningless arguing over the internet is the last bastion of faultless arguing.

Just because nothing can be proven nor disproven does not mean there can not be facts involved. The existence of God is not an opinion, because it is on a factual basis. God doesn't exist for some people. We are just too ignorant to decide what is fact. I have already shown how God would be improbable with logical reasoning, which is definitely not a matter of opinion.

And even opinions can be argued about. If two people disagreed about which of them was the best person in the world, they would argue.

I would debate with people, although I would indeed restrain my language. Fact is, on this forum people don't have to be stopped on the street. They can choose to ignore people and they can respond whenever they want.

You can't force the internet to behave, but you can expect them to act mature and civil.
