Random CCC update, go!
*laser noises*Okay so, I'm still using this other server, and I've actually got to wondering if somehow I could get Kipp (the guy who hosts it) to actually let us use it on a more permanent basis. Seeing as how Sagezze has disappeared off the face of the earth.
However, the news is:
- Member list on channels (doesn't show on user-to-user chat)
- Shift+Tab to open (the key I used to use for my Steam overlay when I actually used Steam)
- Has a clock + timestamps. The clock updates every second as long as the overlay is open and this tick also ensures that the top window of the layer's input has focus so you can type in it.
- Now uses MessageVectors & GuiMessageVectorCtrls. The difference is that I no longer need to use a hack to scroll to the bottom of the display. This tended to be jerky and flash up/down. I could have done some more hacking about to prevent this but it would just be dumb. The downside of this change is that custom styling (ie using font tags/hex colors etc) is out the window.
Next on my todo is to make an alert for any window that is not visible, and also if the overlay is minimized, to play a sound when a message is received (optional, this will be a three-stage: 0 is no sound, 1 is sound if the message contains your name or is a PM, 2 is for any message) and also to get a buddy list made. Most of this is all GUI work, since we do actually lack our own server, but this one allows me to implement 90% of the functionality. I don't at this time have anything really new to show graphically, however.
And that's it for the CCC minute! I'm back at my dad's place, so I will likely be working on this a lot more as I have considerably less private time to pursue... well doing nothing but with a lot of NSFW things open. And let's just leave it at that.
