Author Topic: NASA: 2012 myth debunked  (Read 2537 times)

I've noticed there is alot of fear of 2012 going around. To stop the fear NASA has debunked the said apocalype therioies of December 21, 2012. Now you can get out of your bunkers and get on with life: http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/afp-nasa-2012-myths.html

2012 fear spreads so much because it's said to have started on the internet. and there have been many death threats. the beginning of 2000 and this myth which was first said to occur on May 2003 then moved to 2012.

That's a load off my mind.

I thought of something.
What if, it was 2012 BC instead of 2012 AD?

Then we wouldn't be here, now would we?

Doorman, the mayan calander was very different, and they just found the end and the equivalent of the date they thought time would end on their calender, I don't think 2012 actually means anything number wise. (If it did, it wouldn't be know because I wouldn't consider the birth of jesus to be the beginning of time.)

I know, the birth of Jesus is definitely not the beginning of time. I was just pointing out the flaw in his logic saying that if it was meant to be in BC and not AD, then we wouldn't be here for the world would have ended then.

Besides, the world doesn't end according to Mayan callender, but rather a new period begins in it. Maybe something will happen to change our world? I don't know, nor do I care.

Typical. No surprise here.

nasa said this nasa said that.

who did they say it to? where is the real interviews? why don't the article actually explain WHY these theories all are wrong? it simply repeats over and over that they are wrong.

proof is fail

i think they said some other year was going to be the end of the world.

i think they thought it was the 1990's.....Are we dead?

In 2000 all electronics were predicted to crash. A local depot made alot of cash selling personal generators.

Personal generators are useful thing to have available, Y2K or not.

Its not the Mayans I fear, its Nastradamuses prediction of the end of the world I fear. 2012 is a hoax but this guy was real and his predictions in his passed life were accurate.

I watched a TV show about him a while ago, he predicted the life of 7 sons and daughters of a queen, an injury of a king durring a joust and his death, and much more. He has a whole book dedicated to him with all of his predictions written down. One of his last predictions was the year of the end of the world, it was said to come around the year of the 31st century, 3200 something last time I've seen the date.
