The closure of the worlds largest torrent tracker is important news if you care at all about the internet.
It's definitely a good thing. Maybe people will start PAYING for games.

I knew this several months ago. Pirate Bay was bought just like Napster and other such things so now you'll eventually have to pay for it if you continue on that site.

Well if you actually bothered to read the article before posting like a know it all, you would know this is separate from the sale. The current owners have decided to shut the website down for good.

That's what usually happens when someone buys a tracker site. They close it down, they revamp it, reopen it as a pay on a monthly trial basis like Napster is now and profit big.
