You then leave your residence and navigate towards the Black Fort. However, it is surrounded by a moat. You cannot explore much today because the drawbridge is not down.

Eventually, yes, but you must take a Class. Classes are not established yet, and will cost you a certain amount depending on how many skills you have. There will eventually be multiple Classes for multiple skills.
