Isn't one projectile counted as one ghost object?
So isn't every projectile you have the same as having that number of projectiles in bricks?  So, in this case, if you have a bunch of these to simulate rain over a large area, it would cause a lower framerate, despite them being "low lag" like you claim.


Win. Like, Jeebus win. If you add little rain plink plink sounds then you're golden. Course that might cause...

these work like the radio wave. it uses the empty.dts and is just the emmiter that shows.

Muffinmix made a set of 'weather' particle emitters which would probably cause less lag than these. Every single projectile has an emitter on it as well as raycasts/collision code, compared to one brick emitter...

Yes but that emmiter goes through bricks and can only go one diection. I can make it rain up... True that it may have less lag because it's only one emmiter but this has better physics.
