I remember watching these live on cartoon network (before it sucked) at my grandma's house.
I remember the complete lack of physics in it, such as that if you aren't aware of gravity it won't affect you, or if you get shot you just have a hole going through you.  And yet, one of my favorite shows on tv.
I also once tried to copy the running off a cliff into the air trick, and fell onto gravel... :(  (I was little back then)
