Author Topic: Left 4 Dead 2 is "tribal"  (Read 5592 times)

I went to France for a day with some friends, there was a gathering of all races under the Eiffel tower. Then in seconds all of the black people started tu run away like it was the slave hunt. A minute later five soldiers appeared out of the crowd with machineguns. Me and my friends laughed so hard all day.

Edit: All of those black people that ran were selling stolen shop items.

I went to the Eiffel Tower. There are always French soldiers (lol, French soldiers...) with FAMASs guarding the place.

There are no black zombies, they're all grey.

I hate Fox. Seriously. Why can't you just spell out the word "people"? It's national loving tv.

tribal! THATS JUST tribal! (/friendsaidit)

^Modern Warfare 2 controversey

Racism has become a complete joke to me. Honestly, the only reason the words are offensive are because people take it that way. If these people stopped bringing up the fact something is tribal and offensive then it wouldn't be so bad. The ones fighting it are the ones keeping it alive.

I take the opposing view.

Words have meaning and power attached to them based on their common use and asking people to forget that history is ridiculous. The people who are offended by language are not the ones keeping it alive, people who use offensive language to be offensive are the ones keeping it alive by continuing the tradition of attaching a meaning to a word.

I believe that people should be able to joke with each other and discuss issues without being told they are being politically incorrect. But I also believe that they should be able to do this respectfully, and intentionally using inflammatory language and then blaming the fact that people feel insulted on them is pretty bizarre. If people yell or speak rudely to me I get angry, as do the people I've yelled at and been rude to. I do not blame the people I'm yelling at for getting upset at me yelling at them, in fact, that was my intention.

Whenever you speak you assert that you understand both the technical and the cultural meaning of a phrase and are willing to accept the consequences and stand by what you said. When people say "Well it's your fault for being offended, political correctness is killing America," I hear "I cannot accept responsibility for what I have to say."

Incorrect.

I died on the inside slightly.
But still, a zombie is a zombie and they hab tew dai.

I suppose I agree with that. I still believe that the people looking for any reason to use the race card are equally at fault.

What if the black zombies were Jewish? Would that be a double-whammy?
