Author Topic: I have a few questions about items.  (Read 582 times)

Is it possible to make items that, when used from inventory, they are put on the players body and stays on til they use the item again. And if so, is it possible to make it so when the items are on the players body, it will give them defensive points? Like, weapons do less damage with the item on? I wanna make armors and stuff for my medieval rp.

Armor has been made before.

I mean for like armors, hats, clothes, gloves, stuff that you can wear all at once.

It's not that simple.

Made before. The other pieces could be made.

Pandan's armor and heedicalking's armor are both pretty good, and heed's can be customized without much difficulty. As far as the other articles of clothing, Pandan's hats are great and also pretty easy to customize, and gloves would be as simple as changing the color of your hands (unless you wanted to get complicated and add some models, which still wouldn't be extremely difficult).

What I want to do is basically make the player parts(helmet, shoulder pads, hands, body, pants, feet) and resize the models to be a tiny bit bigger then the normal player parts so it covers them. And make those models into items that you can equipt all at one and they would make weapons do a certain amount of less damage. Like if you use the best helmet, get headshot by a sniper, it would only do 50 damage and not an instant kill.

Medieval RPS don't need to be Exact, you can just play WoW Or something.
Anyways those datablocks would pile up.

@bold: We...don't have legs. You do realize that legs are required to have pants, right?
@the rest: I realize what you want, and I gave you the tools you need to do armor and hats/helmets. Of course, the whole location specific damage thing is entirely in your hands, along with all the other aspects of clothing that you mentioned. This is, admittedly, significantly out of my skill range when it comes to scripting and modeling, but I'm sure someone could do it. A good place to start would probably be to look at heed's armor script (that one works by changing the amount of damage done by weapons, instead of changing player-type like Pandan's) and trying to apply that to Pandan's hat mod. Once you've done that, simply use the same method to apply it to some type of clothing mod that you create (I'm assuming you can do this, of course).
