Author Topic: Adding to Blockland  (Read 2385 times)

I just finished modeling my first map and I have the .map file. What do I do next so I can use it on Blockland?

Could someone answer me please?

I believe you package it by turning it into a .zip file, but don't take my word for it, I've never done it.

You can't turn a .map into a .zip

Dude, maps in Blockland are .ter files.

Just convert the .map to a .dif, then import the .dif into an empty map.

import the .dif into an empty map.
I might be an IDIOT to ask this, but how? Also, how do I get the .ml and .mis file?
And look at this, there's no ter.

If you can't figure it out, PM it to me, and I'll see if I can't fix it for you. :)

Dude, I know how to convert it to dif. Look at the quote. Also, I need to get the .ml and .mis file.

Ignore the .ml file
Copy the .mis file from another map.

Copy a mission file from another map, then modify it to upload your map with the .dif in it.

I read this many times and still don't get what you mean...
Are you saying that I change the name of the .mis file to something like EmptyRoom.mis then put the textures and .dif file into a compressed folder with the mission file?
Edit: I got it, but there's a problem when I try to play BL on the map.
Could not execute file "Add-Ons/Map_Empty_Room/emptyroom.mis"
Do I seriously have to put a code in there?

Ok, in Torque Constructor, export as legacy DIF. Then make a folder called Map_Emptyroom and paste the .dif and all its textures into it. Then copypaste the Map_Emptyroom folder into you add-ons folder. Then insert the dif using mission editor. Then do all the .mis stuff.
