He wouldn't be banned because he didn't make a topic. He didn't have a super-dramatic exit, he just changed his avatar and signature to indicate he was leaving. The rule is to stop attention whoring, and Bisjac wasn't attention whoring when he changed his profile.

He is Inactive, not leaving. Which means he plans on coming back when he has the time or is bored with everything else. He just doesn't care to make as big of a deal about it as everyone is making it into.

If it was some random kid named masterchief1337spartan they would've been banned in a heartbeat. But Bisjac has a little bit of history and what-not so Badspot will probably let it slide, which is okay, his forums he can do what he wants. Just pointing out that people arguing whether he broke the rules or not, he did, will he be banned? Probably not.
