I do this to pretty much every server I come across.

Regulith takes into account my suggestions and adds these things to his server or fixes them. Then it's better all round.
MoogleBoss and Taboo get angry at me for suggesting they change anything (gameplay imbalances, things that are really hard to use, mods that appear to be completely broken) or challenging some illogical rules. ("If you don't want this to happen, make it impossible instead of threatening everyone")

I made a lot of basic versions of Fooley Cooley's scripts that were used in the IGSO mod before it was released. When it came out and I discovered he made a lot of things I had made, I stopped production on my own and downloaded IGSO and used it instead of wasting my time. Do you ever recall me making a butthurt FC thread? No, because I sucked it up and said, "Oh well, he did it first."

Problem is I don't use threats, I do. If I say someone's ass will be kicked for say,  spawnkilling, they are kicked.
It's effective because it provides examples and also eliminates part of the problem. This is the thinking behind public executions, and it works wonders.
