Easiest way to do this.
Turn off VEHICLE DAMAGE.

Add some effects to the MAS Swarm Fighter please. Like jet trails and engine exhaust.
And, a problem to almost ALL fly & shoot vehicles, MAKE THE BULLETS FASTER.
Other that that, epic win. hurrdurr

If you're flying straight, the bullets hit you from behind and as far as I can see, blows you up.
Stratofortress's Spitfire fixed that problem, making the bullets fast and putting them on the wing.
You can't collide with the wing, and that's how he solved it, except this doesn't have any wings (durr).
So you might have to put the guns somewhere else on the craft.

I have never hit myself in the Swarm Fighter, though I know what you mean.
And no I'm not moving the guns.
So I'll try to up the bullet speed.

NOTE: The first time I tried the guns (or the second time in a gunning spree) I hit myself.

Do to school, I haven't been able to work on this as much. (although there is a little something that I've been modeling.... /slyface)

I tried hitting myself while speeding down in the map Build-a-space-station, but i didn't, i will now look into the straight stuff.

EDIT:
Found the said bug.

When you have a high velocity, and suddenly turn downwards (from the vehicles perspective) you CAN hit yourself, however, not many bullets will hit you, it's not like you can kill yourself by one quick turn.

So, it's not fully the fault of the speed of the projectiles, because you can turn so fast, that you can put yourself in your own line of fire.

I'm gonna try and type the story as it goes in my head.

Some time in the year 2013, nuclear power gets really popular. So much so that the humans have to find a way to dispose of all the extra nuclear waste . They tried several things, but eventually decide to  just put it all deep in the earth. Then three years later (2016) an unexpected meteor storm began smashing earth with millions of watermelon-sized meteorites,causing earthquakes. Thinking their underground home was being threatened, millions of bugs, all mutated from the nuclear waste, headed strait for the surface. And so the bug invasion begins!

Year 2020, January 26.

"Commander Army Unit, we have reported a small fleet of termites heading this way!"
Army Unit turned to his comrade, Blockoman, and looked at the radar beside him. It showed that indeed, a small fleet of them was coming. He wore his headphones from his radio set and spoke into the microphone,
"Launch the Swarm Fighter units! We must not allow them to enter the station!"
A yellow alert was sent out to contact all swarm fighter pilots to gear up and get ready for battle. Army Unit headed back to his office to have a rest. He just had a big fight with a queen bug yesterday which tired him out alot. As he sat for a rest, he thought of the past years of war that had been going on for ages. He then, went to a deep sleep and dreamt of the old days.

Year 2016, December 6th -

The world was in chaos. Bugs were appearing and spreading everywhere, eating up humans and destroying cities. They have been rampaging until at last, only North America was the safest country. President Army Unit has decided to announce a speech that will change the world of earth forever.

I haven't finished yet due to my short time on typing this. I'll continue it when I get back from school tomorrow.
