That wasn't me in your logs, I just decided to goof off once you posted the log and see if the page was still available. I had never used the command before so it was an excuse to open the terminal and screw around.

Did I show up in your log or do I actually have to successfully login and access it to show up?
I have no idea how this stuff works, I don't have a server.

Everything you do is logged. If you're visiting a TXT file, chances are you're not logged in.

Well I figured the connection attempt would be noted, does it tell you whether I successfully accessed the file, and if not, what error I got? I figured it'd say something along the lines of Wedge is not a valid username and that I don't have permission to view the file.

Yes it does, for example, your web browser should try to access the file favicon.ico, and your browser won't do anything if it's a 404. I can see what error has happened.
