Author Topic: Why is JVS praised, and props flamed?  (Read 2745 times)

It honestly makes no sense to me. They both use .dts models for the brick.

Because JVS is better. The doors move. props do nothing, This is a building game. So why not build a stove or fridge or anything, and not be lazy?

Because props spam your console and don't do stuff, while JVS works flawlessly and actually does stuff.

How did I know you would eventually make a topic like this?

Edit:
Why not build a door?

Because JVS looks better. </thread>

Why not build a door?
Probably because it'd be hard to make like, example: a cell door to fit a 4 stud long doorway or something like that.

That's why.

I personally think evented doors look better.

Can't argue with that wording, if taken literally.

I personally think evented doors look better.
I personally believe that furniture made of bricks looks better.

Well, yes. I'm not a fan of props, or JVS.

You had to see that coming.

Super seemed to think that I liked props.

The way the title was worded gave me the impression.
I apologize good sir.

It's OK. They just use the same system, kind of, so I didn't know how else to.

JVS uses the JVS system.
Props uses the Props system.
Hurr.

It honestly makes no sense to me. They both use .dts models for the brick.

The content system and its official packs were coded (Trader) and modeled (Kaje) by people who actually know what they're doing.  It works extremely well, it's used by almost everyone who plays regularly, and it can be extended with third party packs and custom restriction types.  Well made, unique, and useful, the content system is a superb add-on.

On the other hand, the prop system is poorly coded, uses inferior models, and is pretty much useless in every way.

In short, the prop mod just isn't in the same league as the content mod.
