Sniper beats them all, it's great for quick shots at SI pouncing or constricting your teammates. On top of that it penetrates multiple infected.

IMO, 2 is a really great game, don't get me wrong, but it lacked the desperation effect they successfully pulled off. This current one seems more gore-orientated, much like the SAW movies, whereas the first one really successfully pulled off the horror-thriller-scare. I believe a main factor in this is the daylight campaigns.
