considering the type of virus that he would have to wipe the computer for, no antivirus would work, nothing, no chance on it getting fixed, it has to be wiped, and advast sucks, a good antivirus i would say NOD32 if your gonna buy it, and also, dude, scan every file you download at Virustotal, its a lifesaver, scans with every popular virus scanner available, and norton is a big joke, hell, 2005 version you couldnt even remove from your computer without alot of hazzle, norton just plain sucks, at least advast works good

Sure Norton's great but the Avast scanner is free.

1. Its Avast not Advast
2. Avast is free and voted one of the top virus protection software
3. Scan your computer regularly to remove all threat. (Therefore you will have a chance of getting it fixed)
