edit a bot help

every time i edit a bots appearance its color NEVER changes. i use the little box next to text entry and it does not change bot color and hat is a node PS i know how to change the decal. please help
i do this
on bot spawn    bot edit appearance    SkiMask then i spawn it

That's not how it works.
the code is right, but it applies to the most recent brick you wrenched.
