PSP ChickHEN R2 Installation Not Working

I'm using a PSP 1001 (guess what it belongs to Sarge!), and I'm trying to hack it for
him using Chickhen. I'm running 5.03 firmware, and I'm using a 1GB memory stick.
It just freezes and then just turns off.

Its ok I have a Pandora's battery and an MMS... and I know I can brick it I just need
installation help!

You can't install custom firmware past like 4.3. Unless you somehow try to downgrade your firmware, you can't do anything about it.
