Author Topic: New graphics card  (Read 1603 times)

I bought a new graphics card. It should come in a day or two.
I mainly got it so I can play Portal at full graphics, and so Blender can work faster.

And it should hopefully work much better then my current graphics card.. :P

I really hope it works, I paid for the whole thing...

Let's hope you have pci-e2.0...

My Radeon HD 4890 arrived today, which is about 3x better than the GTS 250.  Now I have to wait for the rest of the PC parts to arrive.

I have that same card...but I was able to play Portal on max with my 7300 GT...

I know there's better cards... but I don't have the money.
The current on I have cost about $50, and it sucks.... :[

That wouldn't matter because all PCIe 2.0 graphics cards are backwards compatible with older versions of PCIe.

Newer cards like the GTS250 get a slight bottleneck.

Can it fit in your case, and can your power supply handle it?

I'm pretty sure it will. My computer is quite powerful except for the current graphics card.

Hardly.

LOL HOW ABOUT YOU CHECK?
450 wats for the normal one.
475 for the OC one. (The one i have)

You don't want to get something you can't use.
