And you guys think I am truly biased? Lmfao.

You really think that privatized healthcare is the best thing for everyone?

but personally.... i hate it.
i am of education and success. i earn my own means, and feel no pity for people who are poorer then me.
while i am ready to pay cash to walk in and be healed. i must then wait in line behind people who couldn't.
Say you're at the hospital for a fractured wrist. Someone comes in with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. You're telling me that you wouldn't let them go ahead of you simply based on their financial status?

Actually I am biased.
I prefer not dieing... I dunno... just the whole being alive thing is kinda important for me...

well technically i am paying his bills to be saved that day. so he can wait behind me while i also pay for myself.

no one wants to think of "give an inch take a mile" stuff when it comes to human lives.
but the poor are not poor because its unfortunate. they are poor because they chose to be uneducated and choose to not work as hard in life.

I never said I didn't support any type of healthcare.

Dammit, do you really want the Government controlling where you get your health care from?

This healthcare bill, with a single-payer plan can only mean one of two or both of these things:

1) Ludicrous taxes.
2) Rationed healthcare.

If you broke your foot, but the government clinic is full, then why the forget should you have to wait or just live with it if you have the money for a foot-fixing operation?

um

Have you any loving idea what the public option is?

Rationed healthcare won't come out of this. A government run insurance option has nothing to do with the still privatized healthcare providers.

And the tax increases go only to the super wealthy. I doubt you're making over $500,000 a year by yourself.

Actually, its $250k. And yes, the HR-3500 will include rationalized healthcare.

Obama has said that he is a "proponent" of a single-payer plan.

Now, if we had basic government healthcare for everyone (but you could still pay for your own health care) that would be pretty cool, but I'm still not entirely sure how it would work. In addition to what's actually in the bill, you also have the very intricate system of national economics. There's no doubt that if the government even offered the most meager healthcare for the poorest of our society, it would cost us money. It costs the government money to pay for stuff. Now, this money either comes from two places:

1) Taxpayers
2) Nowhere, and all this cost gets lumped onto the national debt which is starting to move into numbers hard for most people to conceptualize.

I don't know how I feel about the government taking over portions of our economy.

I am pro-capitalist as much as possible, but I don't think a human's wellbeing should have a profit margin.

But you think a human's wellbeing should be controlled by an organization that already has $12.1 trillion in debt?

I want it. Everyone deseves to be helped. What if you get hurt really bad and it costs like 100,000 bucks? In this economy, I think it would be perfect. Imagine a word where there is no need for health insurance.
