Author Topic: How do I make my own projectiles? <solved>  (Read 807 times)

After tedious testing, my first working gun finally works (thanks Heedicalking). However, I'd like to make custom projectiles for it. How?

Easy, in milkshape. Simply make a bullet model facing toward or along the pink axis.

It's easy to do, and requires little to no skill.

2 problems: I use Blender, and don't you need some fancy parenting and scripting stuff? Like for a normal gun?

No you don't, projectiles are pretty simple on the modeling side, you just make a mesh facing the right direction (I don't know which) and export. Keep in mind that it should be pretty low poly or it will lag in high amounts.

I made my own bullet, the bullet parented to detail32, and detail32 to shape. But i didn't make a mountPoint or a muzzlePoint. Something I missed?

Projectiles don't need any nodes, you are good to go.

Whenever I shoot, the projectile is higher then the trail emitter. Remember, this is in blender

Is it in between the xyz axis? Like, on the crossing point.

Yes, that worked. Thanks again
