Author Topic: Oh sh*t was that a ghost?  (Read 4253 times)

i love how many Christians believe in ghosts. when the bible extremely in detail; explains that people do not linger around as any kind of spirit.

in detail you are told that whatever heaven or hell you earned yourself. you lose all memory of yourself and all identity. you just become a mindless drone to praise god all day.

you dont become a ghost in any situation
you dont become an angel in any situation.

in fact no religion uses ghosts like that. and the faithless wouldn't believe in ghosts anyways.
so its only uneducated religious folk that get stupid over it.

Here's the definitoln of "Ghost" in Encyclopedia Horrifica.
Ghost: When the mind survives the death of the body.
"The big 3":
Poltergeist: The spirit of a living person under depression or stress. Yes, a person and that person's poltergeist can be in the same place and both be active.
Haunting: When an enviornment "Records" intense events or emotions. For example, you may hear crying in a hotel room where a murder took place, like a scary DVD stuck on repeat.
Apparition: These are your standard "Ghosts" but however, you do not (by definition) see them. They project an image of themselves into your mind, explaining how they become "Invisible" and pass through walls. They can look like anything.

I believe in them, but not so much 'ghosts' as 'spirits'.

The human brain is by nature over-cautious.  Humans have a suspicious brain as a result of evolution.  The early humans had to hunt, be continuously alert for predators.  They lived in a world where they would die if they weren't always on their guard.  Though this is no longer the case, the thought of something watching you from the corner of the room is still present.  Then there are the movies and television shows that promote the paranormal.

TLDR; Ghosts don't exist.
